Skill Development Training:

Micro enterprise development has been seen as a key vehicle for poverty reduction and employment generation. It helps to increase the productivity of the poor and disadvantaged group for income from employment. Income generation training activities to the rural communities have been instrumental to enhance capacity building and self reliant entrepreneurship for their sustainable livelihood. The training on “Bamboo craft mooda, nanglo and Doko making” has been conducted in Nawalparasi with a purpose of income generation of the participants and their family members that contributes to the efforts on nutritious food.

The program aims at providing support mainly to those who can make the best use of them for the benefit of their enterprises, as well as for the benefit of the society as a whole. The bamboo craft training targeted the poor income communities and still lack adequate state interventions and initiatives to advance their livelihood.

Objective: The purpose of the training is to transform the skills of bamboo craft making to the rural poor in order to enhance sustainable livelihood either through self employment or so from the innovative income generating activities. While conducting training, easy availability of the raw materials are put important.
